(caught) in the web of climate change:
On melting, sliding and running away
Auf Englisch. Online-Veranstaltung. Bitte anmelden.
The climate system is coupled to many other Earth systems and creates the boundary conditions for life on the Earth’s surface and in water.
The impacts of climate change are consequently far-reaching – from glaciers melting to landslides and climate refugees. But how and why does climate change? Which of the many Earth systems are affected? What does this mean
for humans and animals?
In this lecture Solmaz Mohadjer from the Department of Geosciences in Tübingen will focus on indirect consequences such as geohazards with examples from Central Asia and beyond.
